Heather Tomlins

Managing Director

Founding managing director of TravelEd; Heather began her journey in the educational tour industry after 23 years in Education; whilst in that time taking many students on educational tours all around the world.

Her passion and enthusiasm is to engage and enhance a student’s education with hands-on experiences to broaden horizons; whether they have travelled before or looking forward to first adventures. She understands the needs and difficulties teachers face when undertaking the organisation of a school tour and is an apt hand at taking away the pressure as she has been there and done that. A seamless, safe and fun tour is a priority she encourages with any travel arrangements.

Her biggest passion is her amazing family who also have a love of travel. They all love to meet somewhere new around the world for a yearly holiday together and is always excited to see where the next chosen destination will take them.

Erin Jackson

Managing Director

Not long after graduating from her business degree in Tourism Management, Erin has been working as a travel consultant for over 15 years, which has given her the opportunity to arrange and escort many group tours throughout the world.

She has been lucky enough to explore 40+ countries and is passionate about others exploring the world around them; for them to experience new things, different cultures and gain new life lessons and find a love of exploration and adventure. With extensive experience of sending groups and individuals abroad, Erin understands the logistics and challenges that travel can sometimes encounter and prides herself on her ability to provide stress-free, safe and seamless experiences for both groups and independent holidays.

When she’s not travelling or organising travel for her clients, she spends her spare time with family and friends trying out new restaurants, playing netball or relaxing on the beach.

The Educational Travel Specialists

There is no better way to educate our children than through the visual and hands-on experience of travel

TravelEd has extensive experience in educational school tours. Our school tour expert has worked within the school community as an educator; giving us first-hand knowledge of what it takes to get a school tour running smoothly and stress-free. We understand the curriculum and the fact that teachers are time poor, giving them little opportunity to organize tours themselves.

This is where TravelEd can help you. If possible, we will come to you at your most convenient time, enabling you to continue with your day. We are able to cater for all subjects and extra-curricular activities to ensure your tour is lined up with the subjects you are teaching. We can also combine subjects to cover a cross section, ensuring activities and destinations are evenly catered for throughout the tour. Combined with your ideas and requirements and our personal school tour experiences and expertise of past educational tours and travel insight, you can be assured you get exactly what is necessary to make it the perfect tour.

Once we have nutted out your requirements, we are able to strive to get the best deals for the best price with the best quality of services to cater for your needs. We call on over 120 of our expert suppliers from around the world and within Australia to give us the best of the best within the tour budget. Tweaking is the norm for these tours and we are experts at it! We will spend the time to get it perfect for you. Anything is doable!
